Cyril Cullen Porcelain is designed and handmade at Farney Castle in County Tipperary.

Farney Castle, built in 1495, is the family home of The Cullens and Cyril’s knitwear and porcelain creations are designed and handmade in the converted stables in the old courtyard of the castle. Veteran craftsperson Cyril Cullen celebrated his 50th year in business in 2011 and his designs have been sold and exhibited all over the world.

His range of designs include tabletop ware, vases, candlesticks, wine carafes, intricate figurines and small quirky collectibles. He has developed new pastel coloured glazes in rose pink, fair green and primrose yellow to compliment his signature duck-egg blue colour.

I am hugely inspired by the nature surrounding our home at Farney Castle and I have incorporated some of these fantastic delicate colours and forms into my work. I never wanted to paint my designs but rather let light and shade work naturally with the mix of textured finishes.
